My property consists of my own personal residence and several platted lots which are zoned and are to be offered for sale as residential lots. It is apparent from the new construction at Valley View Farms and the request for A-2 rezoning that Valley View Farms is likely to remain agricultural in nature for the foreseeable future, and my property line will be the transition point between agricul- tural and residential uses. The change in zoning from A-1 to A-2 will permit more intensive use of the farm in that under A-2 classification, boarding stables and horse show facilities are '" permitted. As the owner of 'the nearest neighboring residence and residential development in which I have a substantial investment and for which I pay a considerable amount of taxes , I would object to the increased use if additional structures were to be built north of those now existing. If such additional structures were added to Valley View Farms , the increase in intensity of use would also tend to move northward and would present an unaccept- able detrimental effect upon the residential properties. Unless , therefore, the petitioner is willing to commit, by deed restriction, that no additional structures will be built at Valley View Farms north of those now existing, I would strenu- ously object to the zoning change and expect the Town of • Middleton to join in my objection.
