Little: <br /> The Waste Facility Siting Board has received an adopted <br /> siting resolution from the Town of Burke, pursuant to sec. 144. 445 <br /> (b) (a ) , Wis. Stats . , stating its intent to negotiate and, if <br /> necessary, arbitrate with J & H Landfill Company concerning the <br /> proposed expansion of the landfill in the Town of Burke. <br /> This is to notify you that your jurisdiction is an affected <br /> municipality, as defined in sec. 144 . 43 ( 1 ) (a ) , Wis . Stats. , and, <br /> therefore, is required to adopt a siting resolution and appoint <br /> members to the local committee within 60 days after you receive <br /> the written request for local approvals from the applicant. <br /> The law also requires that you send the board a copy of <br /> your siting resolution and the names of the members appointed to <br /> the local committee within 7 days after you adopt the siting <br /> resolution and appoint members to the local committee ( sec. 144. 445 <br /> ( 6 ) (b) , Wis. Stats . ) . <br /> The county is entitled to appoint 2 members to the local <br /> committee. Each member appointed shall file a statement of <br /> economic interest with the board within 15 days after the person <br /> is appointed ( sec. 144 . 445 ( 7 ) (b) , Wis. Stats. ) .
