• <br /> INTENT TO PARTICIPATE IN LOCAL COMMITTEE <br /> ON EXPANSION OF SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITY <br /> Res. /7S 1984-85 <br /> Wis. State Statute 144.44 has established a Waste Facility Siting Board <br /> and a procedure for review of new or expansion of existing Solid Waste <br /> Disposal (landfill) facilities. Participation by the County in the re- <br /> view process requires approval of a resolution of intent to participate <br /> and appointment of two members to serve on the local committee. Approval <br /> of resolution and appointment of members must be accomplished no later <br /> than October 26, 1984 or the County may not participate. <br /> THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Dane County, 210 Monona Avenue, Madison, <br /> WI, specifies its intent to participate in the negotiation and, if necessary, <br /> arbitration process for the siting of a solid or hazardous waste facility <br /> under ss 144.445, Stats, with regard to expansion of a solid waste facility <br /> by J. & H. Landfill Company, c/o Attorney John A. Pendergrass, P.O.
