Conditional Use <br /> Permit #408 <br /> Dear Mr. Fleck: <br /> Thank you for the time you afforded me on June 5 during which <br /> we discussed the status of the Conditional Use Permit which <br /> was granted on August 27, 1985. To date, the permit holder J <br /> & H Landfill Co. , Inc. , has expended several thousand dollars <br /> on monitoring wells and the construction of them for the <br /> purpose of ascertaining background qualities of water, etc. , <br /> for their impending permit applications. <br /> I believe and you apparently agree that the work done to date <br /> does amount to construction at the landfill site for zoning <br /> ordinance interpretation purposes. If there is a problem <br /> with this, I would appreciate knowing it so that we might <br /> further discuss the issue or make the necessary annual <br /> request for renewal. I am painfully aware of the language <br /> contained in the current zoning ordinance which indicates <br /> that if construction is not commenced within one year the <br /> permit automatically lapses.
