etyma <br /> \\E$ <br /> �°I . ,f f tk, Dane County Plannin & Development <br /> , /1 Zoning Division <br /> ZONING PERMIT INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS <br /> The Dane County Zoning Ordinance provides that two inspections shall be made by the Zoning <br /> Division. Instructions are as follows: <br /> 1. The permit card shall be posted on the premises before any earth disturbing activity is <br /> started. <br /> 2. The owner or agent shall have all lot corners visibly staked prior to requesting an inspection. <br /> The Zoning Inspector shall not be responsible for determining the location of lot lines. Please <br /> be advised that zoning inspections are made in reliance upon your correct identification of <br /> property boundaries and lot lines. <br /> 3. FIRST INSPECTION: <br /> a. Is a location survey required? / No <br /> If yes, a first inspection phone _ request is not required. Please arrange to have a <br /> copy of the survey delivered to our department prior to any construction above the <br /> foundation. <br /> b. If no, the owner or agent shall request the first inspection when the foundation or <br /> basement walls have been constructed. Footings only are not considered a <br /> foundation. The locational extent of the permitted structure must be identifiable at <br /> the time of the first inspection. Construction may continue only after an inspection <br /> has been requested. <br /> 4. SECOND INSPECTION: Shall be requested when the building is substantially completed. <br /> Interior trim, carpeting, painting, etc., do not have to be finished prior to the inspection but, <br /> interior walls must be in place and the electrical, plumbing and heating services must be <br /> installed and operating. <br /> 5. CERTIFICATE OF COMPLIANCE: The zoning inspections are made to verify compliance <br /> with the regulations of the zoning ordinance. The Zoning Division, upon completion of both <br /> inspections will issue a certificate of compliance. <br /> To schedule an inspection, call 266-4266, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM -4:00 PM.
