James 'P. Clark , R.S.
' Senior Sanitarian
Dane County Environmental Health Div.
f Re: EH 115 soil data report and onsite for part of Lotl ,CSM
1279 , NE-. NW4 i Section 29 , Middleton Township.
ADDENDUM A
The area that was soil tested on both the East and West sites
as reported on the two EH 115 ' s submitted was selected by the
owner , Mel Simonson. He provided an Architect 's sketch similar
to the one included with this addendum. His usage plan of two
lots , his desire to keep the apple trees (as many as possible) ,
and the setback and side yard considerations directed his choice
to build on the northerly portion of the two parcels , or at
least to pursue soil evaluation on the southerly portions .
I expressed my concern to Mr. Simonson that compliance with
Dane County street width, zoning and minimum lot area regulations ,
as well as Town of Middleton requirements and City of Madison
three-mile jurisdiction would most likely result in only one(1)
building site from the total of the east and west areas investigated .
Although Mr. Simonson seems quite content with the mound deter-
minations , he certainly could chose to build on the westerly side
and pursue an in-ground pressure or conventional system on the
easterly side north of bore hole 5 with further bore holes . It
is unlikely any building will occur this year at any rate. I had
some concern for the actual filtration that would occur in the
Bnsl w/greater than 50% st . ,cob. ,gr. stratum as indicated by the
perc rate of P5. The depth of that material seemed to be decreasing
as we moved north, being the shallowest at B5 .
If this property changes hands prior to any construction or other
use , it is hoped a copy of the on-site and this addenda will serve
to 'show the on-site sewage disposal options .
. idietj: /- ---
ECO'tQ -Robert 2hflSOfl
C.S.T. 2248
1°n 3523 CTH "JG"
SEP \:\(°\
e{off Blue Mounds , Wisc. 53517
1001Ne eo"t" - - 12 V
► proposed 40 ' street
101'- 1 - - - 101' - -
- west I east oN
site site existing P 0 FA W
z 4!
^r- ^-___, duplex o
apple trees p'''',,
C.....)1/4„____. ........."---"......., ,■• ,..._..„...._.,,---__)..)
Sketch of CSM 1271 , Lot 1
