w33 74 C
3376 We have had complaints regarding odor. In
the summer of 1984 I observed leachate from this
operation flowing into a pond behind it at the
rate of 5 gallons per minute ±. Attached is a
letter from the Department of Natural Resources
regarding this site . Until adequate controls are
in place this petition should be denied.
o. Hwy
Petition #3376 - This parcel has two existing accesses to C.T.H. "N", an
access controlled highway. One of the accesses is shown to be a field
entrance, and the other a private drive entrance. If a commercial
operation is planned at this location which would result in a significant
increase in traffic, "change in use" applications will required for the
existing access drives.
P
Petition #3376
The rezoning proposed is in the exclusive agricultural district in the Town
of Cottage Grove Land Use Plan. Although the plan allows for agricultural
businesses, this parcel was not designated for that land use. However, the
plan does provide for new agri-business locations. If this proposal meets
the town's locational criteria for new businesses, then rezoning would be
consistent with the town plan. It is suggested that any approval of the
A-B district be limited to permitted use (c) .
.
