When that letter arrives,please read it carefully and make sure you keep all <br /> receipts related to your rental assistance. <br /> If you have already received a total of$28,800 from FEMA, you are not eligible for additional rental <br /> assistance. <br /> Your home is located in a Special Flood Hazard Area designated by the National Flood Insurance <br /> Program (NFIP). If you accept money from FEMA for NFIP-insurable real and/or personal property, you <br /> must obtain and maintain flood insurance. For more information about this requirement or to learn <br /> where to obtain flood insurance call 1-800-427-4661 National Flood Insurance Program. <br /> If you need to file an appeal <br /> You should carefully read this letter that explains our decision(s) about your FEMA disaster assistance. An appeal <br /> is a written request from you to FEMA, sent along with new information and documents,asking FEMA to review <br /> your case again. To file an appeal you must do the following. <br /> Explain in writing why you disagree with FEMA's decision.
