County of Dane (upholding <br /> the validity of the town veto power over county zoning ordinances - and that the Court <br /> of Appeals affirmed Judge Bartell 's decision) was reviewed and placed on file. <br /> Transit Committee information; School District Boundary Appeal Board - Middleton/ <br /> Cross Plains; RPC Newsletter; were reviewed and placed on file. <br /> Village of Oak Lawn letter on emergency management team - Federal Emergency <br /> Management Administration meeting to be held on June 12 in Oak Lawn, IL was referred <br /> to Chief Barth for his information. <br /> Board approved request for a street light installation at 1000 Moorland Road on <br /> motion by Ms. Matthews, seconded by Ms. Harvey and carried. Referred to Mr. Uttech <br /> for action. <br /> Mr. Uttech then met with the Board and advised them of the recommendation of the <br /> Advisory Plan Committee on the meeting held this evening with representatives of <br /> the area involving the request for rezoning on the Johannsen property for apartment <br /> units by Horizons. The Advisory Plan Committee stated that due to citizen opposi- <br /> tion, as well as spot zoning, they recommended that approval be denied. Ms. Harvey <br /> then moved, seconded by Ms. Matthews, that upon the recommendation of the Advisory <br /> Plan Committee and reaffirming the prior decision of the Board, that we will not <br /> recommend approval of the proposed rezoning Petition #3417 by Doug Backus for the <br /> Johannsen property.
