Attorney Richard Nordeng's material on incorporation, copies of briefs submitted to Court of Appeals ref appeal of Judge Pekowsky's decision in incorporation matter were reviewed by the Board. Attorney Nordeng is to be scheduled to meet with the Board in July/August. • Classified ad and job description for Fire Chief position was reviewed and placed on file. Letter from Attorney Nordeng in the matter of Franz v. County of Dane (upholding the validity of the town veto power over county zoning ordinances - and that the Court of Appeals affirmed Judge Bartell 's decision) was reviewed and placed on file. Transit Committee information; School District Boundary Appeal Board - Middleton/ Cross Plains; RPC Newsletter; were reviewed and placed on file. Village of Oak Lawn letter on emergency management team - Federal Emergency Management Administration meeting to be held on June 12 in Oak Lawn, IL was referred to Chief Barth for his information. Board approved request for a street light installation at 1000 Moorland Road on motion by Ms. Matthews, seconded by Ms. Harvey and carried. Referred to Mr. Uttech for action. Mr. Uttech then met with the Board and advised them of the recommendation of the Advisory Plan Committee on the meeting held this evening with representatives of the area involving the request for rezoning on the Johannsen property for apartment units by Horizons. The Advisory Plan Committee stated that due to citizen opposi- tion, as well as spot zoning, they recommended that approval be denied. Ms. Harvey then moved, seconded by Ms. Matthews, that upon the recommendation of the Advisory Plan Committee and reaffirming the prior decision of the Board, that we will not recommend approval of the proposed rezoning Petition #3417 by Doug Backus for the Johannsen property.
