• <br /> • — �© <br /> Chairman Lyman Anderson <br /> Dane County Agricultural Environment and Land Records Committee <br /> Zoning Board <br /> Room 210 City County Building <br /> Madison, Wisconsin 53709 <br /> Dear Chairman Lyman and members of the Zoning Board, <br /> Prior to being notified of this specific zoning hearing, I had sceduled a <br /> very impoortant trip that was impossible to cancel. For this I extend my <br /> regrets and apology for not appearing in person. <br /> This regards zoning petition *4040 concerning a request for change from <br /> R-1 Residential district at 962 N. Azure Ct., Section 16 NE SE Town of <br /> Oregon by Mr. and Mrs. Dan Thelen. <br /> As owner of lot 53 in this residential development, which immediately <br /> adjoins the Thelen property on Azure Ct. North, I wish to vote my strong <br /> objection to this application for change. <br /> My decision is based on the "Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions for <br /> Windridge Plat, Town of Oregon," paragraph 7, part A , which reads, "No <br /> animals, livestock, or poultry of any kind other than house pets shall be <br /> kept or maintained on any part of said property". This was drawn up by the <br /> developers and owners of Windridge property on the 15th day of October <br /> 1979 and duly notarized on that same day. <br /> The purchase of our property was greatly influenced by the conditions of <br /> restrictions, particularly paragraphs 7, 9,10, and 11 of the Declaration of <br /> Covenants and Restrictions. (Exibit included herein ) We felt this made the <br /> property very desirable. <br /> I feel that horses and livestock do not belong in a residential envirement <br /> developing progressively into a subhurban atmosphere. Activity of this <br /> nature will tend to greatly devaluate my property. Futhermore, it is <br /> contrary to the original intent of the developers and their purchasers. <br /> I respectfully appeal to this board to decline this application for rezoning <br /> at this time.
