o
Ae"
6210 Schumacher Road ' 1
(608) 849-8011
Waunakee, WI 53597-0236
November 19, 1987
The Agriculture , Enviroment & Land Records Committee:
This letter is in response to zoning petition # 4101 which
changes the zoning of a portion of the farm stated from (A-1 Ex) Agriculture
district to (R-1 ) Residental district so that the existing farmhouse may be
rented .
My purpose for writing the committee is to request a deed restriction
so that the rezoned area could not be seperated from the farm in the future.
I felt a need to bring to the attention ot the committee my reasons
for requesting the addition of this deed restriction. The parcel to be rezoned
residential is next to my family farm operation. I feel placing residential
land without restriction in our vanishing Agricultural area poses a great
threat to the future of farm operations in the area. We also feel as any
Industry, that in order to maintain good relations with our neighbors,
Agricultural land should not be mixed with Residential housing. We feel that
our work scheudle as compared with other Industries, is not always understood
by the neighboring residence . Examples of this would be the use of the road-
ways, the sometimes all night and early morning work, and some unfavorable
noises and ordors that exist around a Dairy Farm.
My wife & I have done major improvements for our family operation.
We have invested our time and finances. We have commited ourselfs for the
future of the farm's continuity for our son as well as ourselfs.
The deed restriction we feel is a fair way of keeping the area
in accordance to the Agricultural Preservation District plan. It also protects
all parties by allowing Pete Meffert to rent the existing house out; but not
restricting our rights to farm in this A-1 EX district even if this parcel
would come under new ownership.
NV 191 Thank-you,
RECEIVED Kurt Breunig
ZONING DIY.
