The system
appears to consist of a septic tank and seepage area of unknown
age and construction. The septic tank is located northwest of
the house. About 10 feet west of the septic tank is a vent
which may extend from a drywell of some sort. The vent has
18 inches of effluent ponded in it at a depth of about
312 feet below the ground surface. There is a second vent
about 30 feet west of the first vent. The second vent has about
6 inches of effluent ponded in it at a depth of about 3 feet
below the surface. At the time of evaluation there was no
apparent evidence of system failure. Please read the enclosed
information on ponding in soil absorption systems.
If you have any questions , please feel free to contact me at
241-4481 between 8 : 00 and 9 : 00 a.m. , Monday through Friday.
Sincerely 1/
., :.4.7&,01 , i
Scott Podboy,/ R.S .
Senior Sanitarian
Dane County Environmental Health Division
Community Support and Health Services Department
SP : je
Enc .
