Leisch and Associates, studying possible locations for a bypass
of Verona for Highways 18-151. The consultant team has identified locations
both north and south of Verona. Until just recently, the southerly routes
were all easterly of these proposed rezonings. Due to concerns expressed by
the Department of Natural Resources regarding impacts to Bishops Pond, the
consultant has identified a corridor just east of CTH PB and parallel to it
from just north of CTH M to the present USH 18-151. This corridor passes
through Petition 4169 and would be much closer in proximity to Petitions 4170
and 3806. It will be some time before we know if this is a viable corridor.
A decision on the future location of USH 18-151, in the Verona area, is at
least one year away. Hopefully, land use changes can be held to a minimum
during this time.
Again, sorry for the late response.
//
,1
LeRoY-Besler, P.E.
District Planning Supervisor
LRB:ry/4247W2
Attachment
MAR 15 1989 .
RECEiTED
ZONING DIV.
