1 I guess I should mention the things <br /> 2 that Ms. Salzmeyer mentioned, Besides the <br /> 3 incidents of automobile accident that we weren't <br /> 4 involved with, I felt as bad as anybody when a <br /> 5 girl got killed at the intersection down at the <br /> 6 end of the road, but our truck wasn't involved <br /> 7 with it. <br /> 8 The quarry was not inactive eight <br /> years <br /> 9 ago. I have worked myself there since '73 and <br /> 10 it's been in operation every year since. I <br /> 11 guess the good news is we've been increasing our <br /> 12 volume. We have been making money on it, The <br /> 13 business grows, but it's never been inactive as <br /> 14 long as I 've been involved with the company. <br /> 15 Also purchasing statements which were <br /> 16 made to these people when they bought their <br /> 17 houses was not by Madison Crushing & Excavating <br /> 18 people applying for this permit. I don't think <br /> 19 it has any bearing on our reputation in the <br /> 20 area. <br /> 21 We've done whatever has been expected <br /> 22 of us and until 1987 we didn't have any <br /> 23 complaints to our office or any department of <br /> 24 the state that I know of We have never been <br /> 25 notified of any complaints, only since we've <br /> tow <br /> 21 <br /> * * * CAPITOL CITY REPORTERS * * * <br />
