1 MR, BINGHAM: The bore hole, again the <br /> tar 2 overriding criteria is pounds per delay and so <br /> 3 for the most part if I'm going to use a 34-inch <br /> 4 hole I'm going to get approximately 3 pounds per <br /> 5 foot. <br /> 6 Now, if I use a larger diameter hole, <br /> 7 obviously if I am using 5 inches I might get 6 <br /> 8 to 8 pounds per foot. <br /> 9 MR. HANNA: Now, most of the <br /> 10 holes that are dug in this particular quarry, <br /> 11 what's the pattern? <br /> 12 MR. BINGHAM: They use 6 by 7, 6 by 6 <br /> 13 and so on. <br /> 14 MR. HANNA: Staggered? <br /> 15 MR. BINGHAM: Square, they use square. <br /> 16 I like square. Actually with our timing <br /> 17 machines and so on we put the staggered pattern <br /> 18 into it for them, and it's a lot easier for the <br /> 19 blaster to operate with and the hole placement <br /> 20 does not get out of alignment as easily and not <br /> 21 cause problems for the blaster. That's our <br /> 22 company's opinion. There's a lot of people <br /> 23 swear by the staggered method. <br /> 24 MR.
