B McFarland, WI 53558
September 7 , 1988
Dane County Agriculture, Environment
& Land Records Committee
Room 116, City-County Building
210 Martin Luther King Jr. , Blvd.
Madison, Wisconsin 53709
Subject: Petition 4180 , Scott Wilson
Dear Committee Members :
The Dunn Plan Commission and Town Board have spent a lot
of time and gathered much input on this matter. The Dunn Town
Board made a motion at their June 21 meeting and again on
September 6 , 1988, to approve petition 4180 for Scott Wilson
conditioned upon the signing and recording of Deed Restrictions
and a Covenant as offered and prepared by Scott Wilson' s
attorney. Attorney Patience Roggensack is to provide Exhibit A
mentioned in the Covenant.
Enclosed is the Town Board' s resolution and attachments .
An exception was made to our Land Use Plan to approve the C-1
portion of this petition. This approval was based on the very
specific circumstance in which the Plan Commission mistakenly
advised Mr. Wilson that they had a policy to deny commercial
zoning, which they thought they had, however the policy was not
officially acted on. Therefore, even though the town feels
strongly against allowing new commercial zoning, out of fairness
to the Wilsons , an exception was made.
Sincerely,
Rosalind Gausman, Clerk
Enc.
cc: Scott Wilson
Atty.
