(608) 233-2244 Middleton, WI 53562 Town of Westport and Dane County Planning Commissions We are requesting a conditional use permit on Lot 1 of csm 1855. A) The property will be used for a church. B) We would like to begin construction in May 1988. C) This property is presently in use for a church. We are planning to change the present church into a parsonage and build a new church. This is actually exactly what was planned when we built in 1976. Our 1976 blueprints even showed the floor plan of the present building as primarily a parsonage. The church floor plan is called temporary right on the blueprints. The new church building will have the capacity to serve more people but the actual present worship area in it will be almost the same as our present building. The new building will give us needed area for sunday school classes and small fellowship functions. Therefore this building does not really involve any change in usage. We have not had any problems with traffic. We have not needed to park on the street. Any overflow parking can go on our lawn. The feedback we have had from the neighborhood has all been positive. Therefore we feel the property is completely suitable for the proposed use. D) The land to the east is the undeveloped woods of a residential owner. His home is towards the lake with the woods between himself and the road so he is not too likely to want to develope it. The land to the south is a cornfield. The land to the west is Mendota Co. Park. The land to the north on the other side of County Highway M is more cornfields.
