May 24, 1988
Mr. William Fleck
Dane County Zoning Administrator
Room 116, City-County Building
Madison, WI 53709
HAND DELIVERED
Dear Mr. Fleck:
This morning I obtained a copy of a letter dated May 16,
1988 from Mr. Thomas Smiley of the RPC regarding rezoning
petition #4226. This letter was apparently sent to members of
the Agriculture, Environment and Land Records Committee, but
was not in your file which I reviewed yesterday. As you
recall, I specifically requested copies of any correspondence
from the RPC regarding this petition.
I'm concerned that I have not had an opportunity to review
and respond to the RPC's comments. It seems to me that due
process would dictate that the RPC's opinions should be
subjected to a full review by the public and affected parties.
Futhermore, it appears, upon a cursory review, that the RPC
correspondence may contain factual errors and untenable
conclusions.
Consequently, I'm asking you to inform the Committee at
their meeting tonight that I object to the RPC's comments in
both substance and process, and that I'm requesting that no
action be taken on this petition until I've had an opportunity
to review and respond to these comments.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Sincerely,
--.06/94; °'4'4••"(7'''' .-L--1
Bob Ramharter
