Bldg. <br /> Gentlemen: <br /> Please find enclosed a copy of the proposed amendments pertaining to mineral <br /> extraction. There is a brief explanation at the end of each amendment. <br /> I have had several requests by contractors to see what could be done to <br /> speed up the zoning process. Petition #3775 addresses this issue. Removal <br /> of the rezone requirement from the A-1 Exclusive District will save at <br /> least 90 days. A conditional use permit can be issued, if all goes well, <br /> in as little as 40 days. <br /> Petition #3774, in effect, will require a conditional use permit for agricul- <br /> ture land-leveling projects if sand, gravel, etc. , will be removed from <br /> the site.
