PH FEB 10 1987 /TEM NO
PETITION NO.---3"" C.U.P. NO.
E.H.D.
3868 We object to this commercial silage pit. Past history of silage
pits is that they are very objectionable to neighbors from
odor and flies. There is a subdivision across the road from this
proposed site. If this is to be re-zoned we will require a
retaining pond for leachate and method of removal and disposal.
This will also require a Department of Natural Resources permit.
We have in the past and will on any project such as this be working
with John Edwards of the DNR.
CO HWY.
RP C.
*3868 The parcel Is in the Agricultural District of the Windsor Town Plan,
where agricultural uses are allowed, but not business uses. To
accommodate such uses, there is a Rural Non-Residential District for
rural land uses which are compatible with and/or complementary to
farming. A plan amendment would be required before this proposal
would be consistent .
When thinking about this location the following needs to be considered:
The groundwater pollution hazard is moderate due to soils
conditions.
(1)/1/7-bl/e-f/-5:..2> p N Gi 0C
T BD.
RES.
