ti REQUEST FOR ZONE CHANGE A iC()() 7a /1•- .4.1 Robert & Linda Iverson, owners of the property at 1640 Hwy 12 & 18 Deerfield, Town of Cottage Grove, consisting of 39.86 acres in Section 36-7-11 NE 1/4 NE 1/4 ,would like to request a zone change. It is now zoned A-1 and we wou\d like it changed to A-2. /ands N':)rfh Jf /mod- IS, The purpose of the change is to establish a horse training facility. At the present time we own 6 Arabian horses, three mares, 1 gelding, and two weanlings (a filly and a colt) . One mare is breed for a May foal, the other two mares are open and will be breed again in the Spring for 1988 foals. We would like to have two foals a year for training and selling. Our plans include hiring a trainer to train our horses for the show ring and for sale. We also want to be able to train other horses, this will require boarding horses while they are in training. We would like to maintain 8 to 10 head of horses of our own at all times and 6 to 8 boarding for training. We are planning on building 16 stalls in the existing 30 X 100 foot barn. We will use the 60 X 80 steel building for an indoor arena for training and riding. We will have a 100 X 200 outdoor riding arena. This will be sowed with a good grass cover (alfalfa and broom grass) to keep the erosion down. We will have 5 or 6 turn out paddocks around the barn, these will be rotated to keep as good a grass cover as possible. There is approximately 30 acres of tillable land. This year (1987) we will plant corn on 12 acres because Atrazine was used on the land last year before we purchased the property and nothing else will grow this year. In 1988 all the tillable land will be planted in Alfalfa and Broom Grass to be used for hay and pasture.
