I checked our records, and found an original <br /> permit for the SFR, no deck. ZP 20070395. Issued June 1 2007, and completed with a Certificate <br /> of Compliance issued January 14, 2008. I did not find a zoning permit for the deck at that time. As <br /> we all know, building without a valid permit is un-acceptable. <br /> While completing my investigation of this possible violation, I was informed by one of my <br /> colleagues that perhaps there was a `zoning permit in waiting' for this property. I found an <br /> application for a permit for the deck, ZP 20080440. Entered into our system, however no one has <br /> paid for and / or signed for this permit. Therefore, there is NO PERMIT. <br /> Co-incidentally, the original Zoning Permit was one of about 3 —4 dozen permits over the <br /> last couple of years that have been in violation of the Dane County Code of Ordinances. Repeated <br /> non-compliance and the time and effort expended to continually remind your staff about coming <br /> into compliance is counter-productive to our efforts to maintain a good working relationship with <br /> your company.
