Zoning Committee
m 210 Monona Avenue
Madison, WI. 53709
,
y'°'`' To Whom It May Concern:
W
' We, the under-signed, in cooperation with the owner of the farm
known as, Duane HestAes, Section 17, Town of Deerfield, Dane Co. ,
Wisconsin, do wis to submit a zoning change from Agricultural to
e_2Jru bussi,),,ss Come a-a4 , for all acre parcel just north of the present home. (See
attached Aerial photo. )
This plot will be surveyed to approximately 350 x 588 feet, as
defined in yellow on the map. A check for $75.00, is enclosed with
this letter, from George J. Tyson, one of the prospective owners.
This farm is 146 Acres, of which 106 of those acres are tillable.
Our company, Fiber Farms, Inc. , a Wisconsin based corporation will
continue to operate it as a grain producing farm. However, Fiber
Farms, Inc. 's main objective, is to build a Research and Development
Center for Biotechnology and production of Hi-Fiber Dietary Food
Flour, from grain and citrus pulp. We plan to feed some of this
material to Beef cattle that are on site, but the majority of the
material will be shipped out for raw material to major food companies.
This will create about 12 jobs; in the plant, laboratory and in
the kitchen, and as a general rule, we will hire local farm people
for these jobs.
My background is agricultural , and I currently server on the
M.A.T.C. Advisory Board here in Madison. The enclosed letter will
verify my participation in this new educational program. It will
start on September 1, 1987, and will be a 2 year, 72 credit graduate
course.
To further describe our program, see Dr. Michael Gould's
Abstract which I have also enclosed, and our affiliation with the
Dept. of Agriculture and Commerce.
S'r erely, /.. 71<2,ery_.7
G rge A.
