V
•
S
May 4, 1987
TO: Dane County Land Regulation Department
FROM: Ardell & Rosalie Lunda Home Phone (608)437-4763
116 Valley Drive Work Phone (608)845-6495
Mt. Horeb, WI 53572 (Mrs.Lunda)
Request is hereby made to apply for rezoning of approximately four (4) acres of
land in the Township of Perry, Dane County, WI. We submit the following
information for your consideration:
(1 ) The parcel of land is in Section 11 as marked in blue on the enclosed
1987 Town of Perry Plat map. Also included is a crop map provided by
the owners of the property, Dennis & Rosemary Sutter.
(2) The office of Than R. Grenlie, Registered Land Surveyor, completed the
enclosed preliminary survey map including an approximate legal
description.
(3) We are asking that the zoning on this parcel be changed from
Agriculture to RH2 to enable us to construct a home on the property. A
delayed effective date is requested.
We have agreed to purchase the land from the Sutters contingent upon
approval of the rezoning request and a satisfactory perk test.
Preliminary digging and soil examination in one section of the parcel
by the individual who will conduct the perk test this week, has
indicated it looks favorable for a mound system and very possibly a
conventional drainfield system.
We would proceed with building as soon as the zoning change is granted.
It is our intention to complete the construction and move in at the
earliest possible time.
(4) On April 21 , 1987, we net with the Town of Perry Board and requested
its approval of this rezoning request. They voted unanimously in favor
of the zoning change contingent upon a satisfactory perk test.
(5) This parcel is part of 217 acres owned by Mr. & Mrs. Sutter in Perry
Township (outlined in red on map). As indicated on the map, it is a
triangular parcel separated from the other acreage by Perry Center Road
and Spring Valley Drive. This property is not well suited for farming
since three separate areas are too rocky or steep to cultivate and it
is between the roadways mentioned, separated from the owner's other
field in that area. Approximately 50o is cropped at this time. (Owner
had just put it in the ten year Land Preservation Program but cancelled
it out when we agreed to purchase it. )
