• <br /> Dear Board Members, <br /> We have been notified by Dane County of a petition by David <br /> Weiman for a conditional use permit for a private airstrip, and must <br /> express our opposition to the application as it currently stands. <br /> The proposed airstrip is in the immediate vacinity of several resi- <br /> dences and in the close vacinity of others, and thus clearly will <br /> have an impact on the character, nature, and lifestyle of the pre- <br /> existing community. We are concerned that while the verbal commit- <br /> ment or; the past of the applicant is to maintain the airstrip for <br /> personal use, the applicant has been unwilling to commit to this <br /> in writing on several occasions, thus allowing for potential expan- <br /> sion of the airstrip in the future into a facility that could ac- <br /> comidate, house and be used by multiple aircraft and pilots. We <br /> object to this potential expansion for numerous reasons, including <br /> both safety and quality of life issues, and thus request that the <br /> application for the airstrip be denied. <br /> Sincerely, <br /> JUL 24 1981 <br />
