While we would prefer that there be no amplified music other than Riley Fest, we are
willing to try a compromise. However we feel the following points should be considered
in writing the CUP:
1. It appears that the liquor license permit conditions would not prohibit the
amplified events from being large. Other then Riley Fest, the intent was for
small events, such as wedding receptions, and the CUP needs to spell this out.
2. Limits on hours for outdoor entertainment and games, noise level and number of
amplified events should be included in the CUP. (It is important to note when
setting these conditions that the neighborhood is mostly residential, with some
agriculture. The Riley Tavern is the only commercial facility.)
3. We feel one amplified event per month is the maximum that should be allowed,
and, with experience, the neighborhood may find this is excessive. if this turns
out to be the case, we need to have the opportunity to have the CUP reviewed.
4. Limits on noise levels were discussed but none were included in the language. If
feasible, this should be addressed in the CUP.
We have lived in Springdale for 8 years and one of the reasons we love this location is
the quiet. We are very concerned about the potential negative impact of this expansion
on our quality of life. Thank you for your time.
2,6*16-e4/"1-?1,
S 5
