Mar 28, 2017
Allen Wilson
7966 Maurer Rd
Cross Plains, WI
53528
home 608-798-0061
Dane County Planning and Development
Zoning Division
City County Building
Rm 116
210 Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd
Madison,WI
53703-3342
Dear Sirs;
I'm sending for your review this application for timber frame canoe house and
gazebo, we built in a class at North House in summer of 2015, that I would like to erect
at my home in town of Cross Plains.
When we built it , I didn't know of the 12 ft height limit, and really want the upper
space to store several canoes, so I'm hoping to apply for an exception on height, since
the peak of my roof is 14 ft. ( Most of this structure is less than 12 feet, and it is about
same height as my garage which is 14.5 feet at peak.) This is an open sided structure
with bottom as pavilion or gazebo for picnics. I'm hoping to secure it to 6 concrete
piers, one for each post, and have a flagstone floor .
I'm enclosing $71 to cover cost of the application.
Thanks Si/ - -ly,
I
Allen Wilson
RECEIVED
APR 1 2017
DANE COUNTY PLANNING&DEVELOPMENT
