Thank you for submitting a <br /> revised application for a shoreland zoning permit to construct a front porch and side screen porch addition to the <br /> residence on your property. After reviewing the attached site plan I have determined that the intensity of <br /> development has triggered the need for a shoreland erosion control permit issued by Dane County Land and Water <br /> Resources. You will also be required to remove other existing impervious surfaces or obtain a shoreland mitigation <br /> permit. <br /> This determination has been based on 310 square feet of new impervious surface within 300 feet of the Wisconsin <br /> River. The existing impervious surface ratio of your property is 16.4%or 11,079 square feet. The post development <br /> impervious surface ratio will be 16.9%or 11,439 square feet. You are allowed to maintain the impervious surface <br /> ratio that existed on your property on September 1,2012. Any land disturbing activity within 300 feet of the river or <br /> floodplain boundary requires a shoreland erosion control permit. <br /> Prior to construction the following conditions must be satisfied: <br /> 1. Obtain an approved shoreland erosion control permit. <br /> 2. Identify 310 square feet of existing impervious surface within 300 feet of the Wisconsin River to be <br /> removed and restored to a vegetative state capable of infiltrating water. <br /> Once these conditions are satisfied you may proceed with your project. Your fmal inspection will need to document <br /> the area of existing impervious surface removed.
