Lane, Roger
From: Lane, Roger
Sent: Tuesday,April 04, 2017 9:26 AM
To: 'Tom Dybevik'
Cc: Allan, Majid
Subject: RE: Preliminary Review
Dear Mr. Dybevik,
The petition has been tentatively placed on the April 25, 2017 Zoning and Land Regulation Committee meeting. Dane
County Land and Water Resources are still concerned with the narrow width of the driveway area be able to
accommodate stormwater management features.
See quote from March 24th letter. " However, it is not clear how runoff from impervious surfaces will be captured
and routed to a treatment device or where those devices will be located. Locating stormwater management practices
within the narrow corridor of a flag lot can be problematic due to the lack of available room to do so.A conceptual
stormwater management plan will need to be submitted before I can reasonably state that stormwater management
performance standards can be met for the proposed development."
If you do not want to provide a conceptual stormwater management plan at this time, I would suggest revising the lot
width to a minimum of feet or more.
If approved by the ZLR Committee, Staff will be suggesting that a deed restriction being place on the property to
acknowledge that the residential home site is adjacent to an active gravel quarry. "The landowner or future landowner
understands that the quarry activity involves blasting, heavy vehicle and equipment use, noise, dust, and operation
during the evening or early in the morning, that maybe of nuisance. The landowner owner or future landowners
understand and accept the adjacent quarry land use and further agree not to file claims regarding the quarry activity as
being a nuisance."
Please share this information with your client or prospective buyer.
Respectfully,
Roger Lane
Dane County Zoning Administrator
Original Message
From:Tom Dybevik[mailto:tdybevik @starkhomes.com]
Sent:Thursday, March 30,2017 10:25 AM
To: Lane, Roger
Subject: RE: Preliminary Review
Good morning Roger,What is the current status of this petition? Is it to lower the impervious area to below 20,00
square feet or is it to have an engineer complete an erosion plan for lot 2?Any insight would be helpful for me.Thanks
Original Message
From: Lane, Roger[mailto:Iane.roger @countyofdane.com]
Sent: Friday, March 24,2017 10:19 AM
To:Tuggle,Jason<tuggle.jason @countyofdane.com>; billw @stoughtontrailers.com
1
