NOTICE OF HEARING
<br /> Notice is hereby given that pursuant to the provisions of Sections 40.025 (2),
<br /> 40.02 (5) and 40.03 of the Wisconsin Statutes by the Secretaries of the Dane
<br /> and Iowa County School Committees in compliance with a resolution adopted
<br /> by said committees on the 25th day of August, 1964, that a public hearing
<br /> will be held by said committees at the Verona High School, Verona, Wisconsin
<br /> on the 14th day of September, 1964 at 9:15 P.M. to consider a petition filed
<br /> with the Secretary of the Dane County School Committee on the 25th day of
<br /> August, 1964, which reads as follows:
<br /> "To County School Committees of Dane and Iowa Counties, State of Wisconsin:
<br /> Gentlemen:
<br /> You are hereby requested to take such action as may be necessary according
<br /> to the provisions of sections 40.025 (2), 40.02 (5) and 40.03 of the Wisconsin
<br /> Statutes to detach the following described territory, to-wit:
<br /> Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 6, Town 5 North,
<br /> Range 6 East (Township of Perry), described as follows: Commencing at a
<br /> point 66 feet West of the Northeast corner of the said Northeast 1/4 of
<br /> Northeast 1/4; thence South 231 feet; thence West 99 feet; thence North
<br /> 231 feet to the North line of said Northeast 1/4 of Northeast 1/4; thence
<br /> East along said North line 99 feet to point of beginning.
<br /> Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 6, Town 5 North,
<br /> Range 6 East (Township of Perry), described as follows: Commencing at the
<br /> Northeast corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 6,
<br /> Town 5 North, Range 6 East, thence 14 rods South, thence 4 rods West, thence
<br /> 14 rods North to Town line, thence 4 rods East to beginning;
<br /> Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4 of Section 6, Town 5 North,
<br /> Range 6 East, (Township of Perry), described as follows: Commencing 10 Rods
<br /> West from the Northeast corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4
<br /> of Section 6, Town 5 North, Range 6 East, thence 14 rods South thence
<br /> 4 1/2 rods West, thence 14 rods North to Town line, thence 4 1/2 rods East
<br /> to beginning, save and excepting only therefrom a Northerly and Southerly
<br /> 3 rod right of way on the Westerly side of the described real estate.
<br /> Part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Northeast 1/4, Section 6, Township 5 North,
<br /> Range 6 East, Town of Perry, described as follows: Commencing at the
<br /> Northeast corner of said Section 6; thence North 89° 17' West 239.25 feet
<br /> along the North line of said Section 6 to the point of beginning of this
<br /> description; thence South parallel to the East line of said section 231 feet
<br /> to an iron stake; thence North 89° 17' West 268 feet to a point; thence
<br /> Northeasterly 283 feet to a point on the North line of said Section 6, said
<br /> point being 103 feet West of the point of beginning; thence East along
<br /> North line of said Section 103 feet to the point of beginning.
<br /> from Joint School District 7, Towns of Perry and Blue Mounds, Dane County
<br /> and Town of Moscow, Iowa County, Wisconsin, and attach said described
<br /> territory to Jt. School District No. 1, Village of Mt. Horeb and Towns of
<br /> Blue Mounds, Springdale, Vermont, Cross Plains and Perry, Dane County,
<br /> Wisconsin.
<br /> Dated this 25th day of August, 1964."

<br /> Notice is further given that immediately following the Public Hearing the
<br /> Dane and Iowa County School Committees will meet with the school boards
<br /> of the school districts affected by said petition and hold a conference,
<br /> all according to Section 40.03 of the Wisconsin Statutes.
