Main Street <br /> Mount Horeb WI 53572 <br /> To: Dan Frick PLS, Dane County Surveyor <br /> From: Jule Smith, PLS <br /> Re: Monument Condition Report Northeast corner(30-7-9) <br /> Date: 2017-11-1 <br /> Cc: Jeff Quamme PLS, City of Madison Engineering Mapping <br /> Tie Sheet Condition Report <br /> I hereby certify that I have found and located two ties representing the Northeast Corner for Section 30, <br /> Town 7 North, Range 9 East, in the City of Madison, Dane County Wisconsin as shown in per the U.S. <br /> Public Land Survey Monument Record by Carl M.Sandsnes dated February 16, 2004. The other three <br /> ties for this corner were not found. The actual Monument for this corner is still believed to exist but it <br /> could not be verified and fully recovered. The monument is located inside of a cast iron box in the <br /> existing Mineral Point Road traveled Right-of-Way. The cast iron box could not be accessed without <br /> destroying the box itself. The City of Madison was contacted about accessing the box and they <br /> determined it could not open it without destroying it. The Monument was located in a high volume <br /> right-of-way and destruction of the box was not permitted. Due to this fact that the existing monument <br /> and true corner location could not be verified, an actual complete accurate new tie sheet could not be <br /> produced. This report has been created in lieu of a new U.S. Public Land Survey Monument Record,to <br /> avoid any implication that the location computed from the two existing ties for the corner would <br /> supersede the actual true existing corner's location. At the request of the City of Madison two new ties <br /> perpetuating the remaining ties have been place and the results have been shown on the attached <br /> sheet.
