I've reviewed your documents for a <br /> permit to dredge ditches on the above property. Your site plans show ditches to be dredged, located in a <br /> 100-Year Flood Zone (Zone A General Floodplain) and next to Wetlands. <br /> Dredging in the Floodplain is permitted under Chapter 17 Floodplain Zoning and Chapter 11, Shoreland- <br /> Wetland Zoning, Dane County Code of Ordinances. You must agree to the following: <br /> 1. Removal of dredged spoils to uplands (non-Floodplain and non-Wetlands areas) is preferred. <br /> If this is not possible, spread no more than 4 to 6 inches (widely distributed) of dredged spoils on <br /> tilled agricultural land in Floodplain areas ONLY. No filling permitted in Wetlands. <br /> 2. No obstructions to flow of floodwaters through the ditches. <br /> 3. No increase beyond the original width of the ditches. <br /> 4. No relocation of the ditches. <br /> 5. No new culverts, tiles, or crossings. <br /> 6.
