William Fleck i; , <br /> Zoning Administrator <br /> Room 116, City-County Building <br /> 210 Monona Avenue MAY 15 1987 <br /> Madison, WI 53709 <br /> RE: Permission To Resubmit Conditional-Use Permit E?± t� 1 •lc�HE'r".P,no <br /> Application #506 <br /> Dear Committee Members : <br /> We respectfully request your permission to resubmit our <br /> application for a conditional-use permit for our airstrip . <br /> We have fulfilled the County' s request for an additional <br /> 500 feet of runway length as proposed by Representative <br /> Oliver Hanna at the Appeals Hearing September 11 , 1986 . <br /> Thanks to the cooperation of our neighbors Walter and <br /> Patricia Feller, we have been able to lease an additional 2 <br /> acres of land immediately adjacent to our property which <br /> provides a runway extension of 850 feet . <br /> The total runway length is now 1723 feet . The width of the <br /> runway is 100 feet (50 ft . centerline with 25 ft . <br /> additional space on each side ) . <br /> Total square footage is now 172, 300 square feet . <br /> We believe that the additional 350 feet which is above and <br /> beyond that requested by the County, and which presents an <br /> additional expense for us, displays a willingness on our <br /> part to address concerns raised by Richard and Mary Ashley, <br /> the primary concerned parties . <br /> Additionally, the Town of Oregon and area farmers, through <br /> the cooperation of neighbors Feller and Schiller whose <br /> properties inmmediately adjoin ours, assisted us in making <br /> improvements to the runway surface and surrounding area. <br /> These improvements include grading and the removal of fence <br /> line trees and fences boardering the airstrip to the north, <br /> thus enabling us to move the airstrip further north and <br /> therefore further away from any direct alignment with the <br /> Ashley home . <br /> cont. <br />
