WI •.
RE: Simeon& Heidi Wolf Stream Bank Stabilization Project evieltyarto4R/
The following stream bank stabilization project (plans are attached)is located within the FEMA
Floodplain. This project has been reviewed and no adverse impact to the regional floodplain are
expected.
Simeon& Heidi Wolf
10794 W Huds on Road
Mazomanie,WI 53560
TO8N RO6E,Sec. 08
This project consists of excavating soil and placing rock riprap to stabilize the streambank.
Wisconsin DNR permits have been applied for.
Approximately 528 cubic yards of soil will be excavated from the stream bank to create a more
stable bank slope and channel cross section. This will allow greater flow at lower velocities
through the stream channel. Most of the soil from this excavation will be placed on crop fields
outside the 100 year flood plain. A relatively small amount of excavated soil will be placed
within the 100 year flood plain no more than 6 inches deep. The excavation cut and fill volumes
on this project will be approximately equal amounts. No wetlands will be impacted by the
placement of soil within the floodplain.
Approximately 1,055 cubic yards of rock will be hauled onto the site and placed to stabilize the
streambank. This rock will replace soils that have eroded over the past decade.
Site construction activities include excavation, spoil spreading, rock riprap placement, seeding,
and mulching.
SE
cc: Simeon &Heidi Wolf
Lyman F.
