• Confirm the name of the business that will be operating the salvage center
(assuming "American Auto"). Is the salvage business currently in operation at a
different location? If so, please confirm the name and address of the current
operation. If available, please provide any recent inspection reports from the
local zoning authority.
• Please depict proposed loading/unloading areas on the site plan.
• Please show the location of the existing well and septic serving the property
on the site plan.
• Explain how/where vehicles will be stored on the property. With 50 vehicles
being delivered/week, seems clear there will be significant outdoor storage of
those vehicles.
• Clarify if the shop would have a bathroom. If so, is it utilizing the existing
septic with the residence?
• Has any contact been made with DOT about the anticipated increase in traffic
that will be accessing Rodney Road via 12/18?A significant increase in traffic
may necessitate bypass and/or acceleration/deceleration improvements to
ensure safe ingress and egress.
There may be additional questions as I conduct the review.Thank you very much for
your assistance.
Majid
Please note that the Dane County Planning&Development Department office is currently closed
in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Staff are working remotely and can be reached via email during regular business hours.
This is the best way to communicate with me.
I will also check my work phone voicemail intermittently throughout business hours.
More information and updates can be found on our website:danecountyplanning.com
Majid Allan
Senior Planner, Dane County Planning&Development
210 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd,room 116
Madison,WI 53703
allanPcountyofdane.com/608-267-2536
