<br /> AMENDING CHAPTER 10 OF THE DANE COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, REGARDING
<br /> ABANDONED NONCONFORMING MINERAL EXTRACTION SITES
<br /> The County Board of Supervisors of the County of Dane does ordain as follows:
<br /> ARTICLE 1. Unless otherwise expressly stated herein, all references to section and chapter numbers are to
<br /> those of the Dane County Code of Ordinances.
<br /> ARTICLE 2. Section 10.21(1)(d) of the Dane County Code of Ordinances is rescinded:
<br /> (d) Mineral extraction sites that were registered as nonconforming cites as provided by this ordinance shall
<br /> not be considered abandoned or discontinued if the site is inactive for more than one y ar.
<br /> [EXPLANATION: The existing language of this section is inconsistent with Wisconsin common law
<br /> regarding nonconforming uses. This amendment brings Dane County's Zoning Code into conformance with
<br /> the general law of zoning regarding nonconforming uses..]

<br /> AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE FY 2013 EDWARD BYRNE MEMORIAL
<br /> JUSTICE ASSISTANCE GRANT (JAG) PROGRAM
<br /> The City of Madison and Dane County are participating in the FY 2013 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice
<br /> Assistance Grant (JAG) Program, grant award number 2013-DJ-BX-1180. This grant awards $103,161 in
<br /> 2013 to the City of Madison. Dane County will receive $25,300 from this allocation of$103,161 to be used as
<br /> follows:
<br /> • $6,790 to the Dane County Sheriff's Office for forensic mobile data collection software and
<br /> computers
<br /> • $12,340 for the Dane County Drug Court Treatment Program
<br /> • $6,170 for the Dane County District Attorney Crime Response Program
<br /> Funding of $12,340 for the Drug Court Treatment Program and $6,170 for the District Attorney's Crime
<br /> Response Program are reflected in the 2014 Adopted Budget.
<br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Sheriff's Office is permitted to accept the FY 2013
<br /> Justice Assistance Grant, administered by the City of Madison, in the amount of$6,790.
<br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that $6,790 is established, as revenue in the 2014 Budget, in Sheriff's
<br /> Office Support Services Division, Justice Assistance Grant Revenue Account Line (SHRFSUP 83139) and is
<br /> credited to the General Fund.
<br /> _ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that$6,790 is transferred, in the 2014 Budget, from the General Fund to
<br /> the Sheriff's Office Support Services Division, Justice Assistance Grant Expenditure Account Line (SHRFSUP
<br /> 47680).
