• • ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT #1788 Amending the text of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance :(Chapter 10) . _The Dane County Board of Supervisors does. ordain as follows: . Repeal 10.25 (3) (a) and recreate to read as follows: . • (a) Fees for permits for new -single family homes and duplex homes shall be computed . at the rate of $0.02 'for. each square 'foot of floor area, measurements to be made using outside dimensions. Basement area shall be included if any part of. the base- ment wall is exposed and has any, door or window opening larger than 5 square feet in . the exposed area. Floor area shall=include attached garages. and porches or decks . that are more than two feet above ground level at any point on their perimeter. ' When computed the amount shall be rounded to nearest dollar. • Repeal 10.,25 (3) (b) and recreate to read as follows: (b) For all new construction except for single family and duplex residences; for additions and alterations to existing buidlings and buildings used for agricultural . purposes that because of locational requirements .a Board Of Adjustment permit is re- quired. Cost of construction shall also include the cost of mechanical equipment but not manufacturing or processing machinery or equipment, the fee shall be com-. • puted as follows: For the first $1,000 of construction cost $3.00 For each addition $1,000 of construction cost $1.00 Repeal 10.25 (3) (c) and recreate to read as follows: (c) Fees collected under this section shall be collected at the time the'permit is ' issued, and shall be accounted for and paid into the general fund as are other moneys collected by the county. The Zoning Administrator shall issue a receipt for each . fee collected. Zoning permits are required for municipally owned buildings, however, the fee •shall be waived. Create a new 10.25 (3) (d) to read as follows: • (d) A permit issued pursuant to the provisions of this section-shall expire One year from the date of issuance if construction is not started within that time and will expire if construction once started does not-diligently proceed to completion' within two years' of starting time. • • Amend 10.25 (4) (a) to: read as follows: (a) Petitions to amend the zoning ordinance and applications for.Conditional -Use Permits $85:88 $35.00. Repeal 10.25 (4) (b) and recreate to' read as follows: (b) Mineral extraction permits and renewals $10.00. • • Repeal 10.25 (4) (c) • Amend 10.25 (5) (a) to read as follows: . . (a). Applications for Special Exception ,Permits and Variances from the. zoning ordi- nance o5-88 $25.00. • Renumber 10.25 (6) thru (9) to (7) thru (10) . ' - Create a new 10.25 (6) (a) to read as follows: • . (6) REFUND OF FEES (a) Any fee collected by'Zoning Administrator, once paid, is not refundable. Repeal 10.25 (8) (f) 1. and recreate to read as follows: • 1. For certificates of compliance for new construction, additions, alterations or re- • modeling for which a Dane County Zoning Permit has been issued since August 20, 1970, there shall be no fee charged. For all other certificates of compliance, there shall be a fee of $5.00 for each certificate. Repeal 10.25 (8) (f) 2. ' •
