(12) Clinic: An office or building in which dental, veterinary, medical or paramedical ser- <br /> vices are provided on a out-patient basis. Such services as laboratory, X-ray and first <br /> aid services may be provided. <br /> (13) Club: An association for some common purpose, but not including a group organized for <br /> or which is actually engaged in rendering a service which is customarily carried on <br /> as a business. <br /> (14) Colony House: A building for the breeding and raising of experimental and laboratory <br /> animals, such as white mice and rats, guinea pigs and the like, and for the storage <br /> of feed and accessory materials. <br /> (15) Committee: The Agricultural Extension & Education, Zoning Planning & Water Resources <br /> Committee of the Dane County Board of Supervisors or any other Committee of the Dane <br /> County Board of Supervisors delegated with the responsibility for zoning matters under <br /> Chapters 59.97, 59.971, 87.30 and 144.26 of the Wisconsin Statutes. <br /> (16) Community Living Arrangements: Community living arrangement means any of the follow- <br /> ing facilities licensed or operated, or permitted under the authority of the Wisconsin - <br /> Department of Health and Social Services: Child welfare agencies under ss 48.60, <br /> Wis. Stats. , group foster homes for children under ss 48.02 (7m) Wis. Stats, and com- <br /> munity based residential facilities under ss 50.01 Wis. Stats. but does not include <br /> day care centers, nuring homes, general hospitals, special hospitals, prisons and <br /> jails. <br /> (17) Condominium Apartment: An apartment house in which individual apartments may be offered <br /> for sale instead of for rent. <br /> (18) Construction Equipment: Shall include but not limited to tractors, both wheeled and <br /> crawler types, graders, end loaders, scrapers, bull dozers, cranes, back hoes, drag <br /> lines, trucks, including dump, stake body or semi-trailer to-boys of more than 2 1/2 <br /> ton capacity, "cherry picker" vehicles and air compressors. Any of the aforementioned <br /> equipment that is used in connection with a farm operation is not leased or contracted <br /> for use on any other property shall not be considered construction equipment. <br /> (19) Day Care Centers: A place or home which provides care for four or more children under <br /> the age 7 years for less than 24 hours a day and is licensed as provided for in Chapter <br /> 48.65 of the Wisconsin Statutes. <br /> (20) Drive-in Establishment: An establishment of the "drive-in" type is one which accommo- <br /> dates motor vehicles from which the occupants may obtain or receive the service or ob- <br /> tain a product which may be used or consumed in the vehicle on the same premises or is <br /> one which accommodates motor vehicles for the purpose of fueling or providing minor ser- <br /> vices for such' vehicle. However any restaurant or food establishment in which facilities <br /> are provided for patrons to consume the products therefrom in a motor vehicle while on <br /> the premise or any such establishment of any such establishment which is primarily de- <br /> signed to allow patrons to consume the product therefrom in a motor vehicle on the pre- <br /> mises shall be considered a drive-in establishment. All such establishments shall operate <br /> pursuant to a conditional use permit secured from the Committee. <br /> (21) Dwelling: <br /> (a) Single Family Dwelling: A building designed for and occupied exclusively as a resi- <br /> dence for one family. <br /> (b) Multiple Family Dwellings: A building designed or intended to be used by more than <br /> two families living independently of each other. <br /> (c) Duplex Family Dwelling: A building designed to be occupied by two families living <br /> independently of each other. <br /> (22) Extended Care Facilities: A nursing home which is certified by the State of Wiscon- <br /> sin under the Federal Social Security Act to care for patients under the Medicare Pro- <br /> gram. <br /> (23) Family: Any number of individuals related by blood or marriage, or not to exceed five <br /> (5) person not so related, living together on the premises as a single housekeeping <br /> unit, including any domestic servants. <br /> (24) Gross vehicle weight shall mean the weight of any truck or road tractor and its semi- <br /> trailer plus the load that the vehicle is rated to haul. <br /> (25) Home Occupation: A home occupation is any occupation carried on by a member of the <br /> immediate family residing on the premises, which meets all of the following conditions: <br /> 1. That the occupation is conducted within a dwelling and not in an accessory building. <br /> 2. That only members of the immediate family residing on the premises may be employed; <br /> 3. That no stock-in-trade is kept or commodities sold, other than those made on the pre- <br /> mises; - 2 - <br />
