built on a lot adjacent to a lot or parcel zoned residential, then such busi- <br /> ness or commercial building shall provide a side yard equal to that which is <br /> required for the building on the adjacent lot. <br /> (6) REAR YARD REQUIREMENTS <br /> (a) For business and commercial buildings, the minimum depth of any rear yard <br /> shall be 10 feet. <br /> (7) OFF-STREET PARKING <br /> (a) Off-street parking space shall be provided in accordance with the provisions of <br /> Section 10.18. <br /> (8) SCREENING PROVISIONS <br /> (a) On lots adjacent to or abutting land in a residence district, the screening <br /> provisions of Section 10.16 (8) shall be complied with prior to the issuance <br /> of a Certificate of Compliance. <br /> 10.155 CO-1 CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br /> (1) PERMITTED USES <br /> ! <br /> (a) Hunting fishing and trapping. <br /> (b) Propagation and raising of game animals, fowl and fish. <br /> (c) Sustained yield forestry. <br /> (d) The harvesting of any wild crops such as marsh hay, ferns, moss, berries, tree <br /> fruits and tree seeds. <br /> (e) Grazing. <br /> (f) Dams and hydro-electric power stations. <br /> (g) Communication and power transmission lines or towers; other public utility lines <br /> or facilities. <br /> (h) If the land is publicly owned, such facilities as the owning or controlling agency <br /> shall direct, including without limitation because of enumeration, camping,boat <br /> landings, sale of bait, boat and motor rental, sale of gasoline for boats, refresh- <br /> ment facilities and the like. <br /> (i) Non-residential buildings or structures accessory to any permitted use. <br /> (j) Residential or housing facilities for persons employed on the premises. <br /> (k) Improvement of water courses and bodies of water. <br /> (2) CONDITIONAL USES PERMITTED IN THE CO-1 CONSERVANCY DISTRICT <br /> (a) If the land is privately owned, those uses enumerated in 10.155 (1) (h) . <br /> (3) USES PROHIBITED <br /> i <br /> (a) If the land is privately owned, any filling of marsh land, removal of top soil <br /> or damming of any water course unless approved by the Zoning Committee after <br /> public hearing. <br /> 10.16 GENERAL PROVISIONS AND EXCEPTIONS <br /> (1) USE <br /> (a) Any use not listed as a permitted use in a district is prohibited in that district <br /> and except as otherwise expressly provided, any use listed as a permitted use in <br /> any district shall be construed as a prohibited use in any other district. <br /> (b) The following uses shall be permitted in the districts specified when such uses <br /> do not alter the character of the premises in respect to their use for the purposes <br /> permitted in such district: <br /> - 34 - <br /> L_ <br />
