(72) Street Line: The dividing line between the street and the lot. <br /> (73) Structure: See building. <br /> (74) Structural Alteration: Any change in the supporting members of a building, such as the <br /> bearing walls or partitions, columns, beams or girders, excepting such alterations as <br /> may be necessary for the safety of the building. <br /> (75) Tavern: A building or part of the building open to the public, where fermented malt <br /> beverages and/or intoxicating liquors are sold at retail for consumption on the pre- <br /> mises. The following shall not be considered a tavern: a restaurant where such <br /> beverages are sold only at tables and only in conjunction with meals; a club not open <br /> to the public where such beverages are sold in conjunction with the operation of the <br /> club; premises where malt beverages are sold by established organizations in conjunc- <br /> tion with the operation of a picnic, fair or other amusement enterprise. <br /> (76) Terminal, bus: A building or facility where passengers may board or leave inter-city <br /> buses, also facilities for baggage handling, bus package services and ticket sales. <br /> (77) Terminal, truck: Buildings or land which is used for the storage or distribution of <br /> freight or goods by a common carrier. <br /> (78) Temporary or Portable Building: A building or structure that is not attached to the <br /> ground by anchors, bolts, footings, foundation piers, pilings, posts or other means <br /> of attaching permanently to the ground. Lawn and yard buildings not attached, anchored <br /> or affixed to the ground shall not exceed 32 square feet of floor area on a lot in a <br /> residence district. <br /> (79) Use, Permitted: A permitted use is a use which may be lawfully established in a parti- <br /> cular district or districts, provided it conforms with all requirements and regulations <br /> of such district in which such use is located. <br /> (80) Use, Principal: A principal use is the main use of land or buildings as distinguished <br /> from a subordinante or accessory use. <br /> (81) Utility Services: Transmission and distribution lines both above and below ground <br /> which carry electricity, petroleum products, natural or manufactured gas, water, sewer <br /> or telephone messages, included are buildings,necessary to operate transmission and <br /> distribution lines such as substations, transformer installations, repeater stations, <br /> pumping stations but not including offices, garages, manually operated exchanges, ter- <br /> minal distribution facilities, electric generating plants and sewage disposal plants. <br /> (82) Vision Clearance Triangle: Shall be the area in each quadrant of an intersection which <br /> is bounded by the right-of-way lines of the highways or streets and a vision clearance <br /> setback line connecting points on each right-of-way line which are located a distance <br /> back from the intersection equal to the setback required on the road or highway. <br /> (83) Yard: A yard is an open space on a zoning lot which is unoccupied or unobstructed <br /> from its lowest level to the sky, except as otherwise provided herein. For the <br /> purpose of this ordinance, a "yard" extends along a lot line to a depth or width speci- <br /> fied in the yard regulations for the zoning district in which such zoning lot is located. <br /> (84) Yard, Front: A front yard is a yard paralleling along the full length of the front <br /> lot line between the side lot lines. <br /> (85) Yard, Rear: A rear yard is a yard paralleling along the full length of the rear lot <br /> line between the side lot lines. - <br /> (86) Yard, Side: A side yard is a yard paralleling along a side lot line from the front yard <br /> to the rear yard. <br /> 10.02 DISTRICTS: The following districts are established. The number, shape and area are <br /> best suited to carry out the purposes of this ordinance. <br /> R-1 Residence district. <br /> R-2 Residence district. <br /> R-3 Residence district. <br /> R-3A Residence district. <br /> R-4 Residence district. <br /> RH-1 Rural Homes district. - - <br /> RE-1 Recreational district. <br /> - 6 - <br />
