<br />DANE COUNTY ZONING ORDINANCE
<br />A zoning ordinance enacted pursuant to the provi-
<br />sions of Sections 59.97 and 59.Q9 of the statutes,
<br />and providing penalties for the violation of its
<br />provisions.
<br />'he Cane County Board of Supervisors does ordain as
<br />follows:
<br />Section I. That the certain county zoning ordinance,
<br />enacted July 12, 1Q28, as amended, be,and the same
<br />is hereby repealed.
<br />Section II. An ordinance, to be known as Chapter 10,
<br />Dane county ordinances, regulating, restricting, and
<br />determining the locations of trades and industries,
<br />the location, height, bulk, number of stories, and
<br />size of buildings and other structures; the percentage
<br />of lot which may be occupied; the size of yards and
<br />other oven spaces; the density and distribution of
<br />population; the location of buildings designed for
<br />specific uses; the areas along natural water courses,
<br />channels, streams and creeks in which trades and '
<br />industries and the location of buildings for specific
<br />uses may be prohibited; establishing setback lines;
<br />and establishing districts of such number, shape and
<br />area deemed best suited to carry out the purposes of
<br />this ordinance as it applies to lands outside the
<br />limits of incorporated villages and citi, of Dane
<br />County; and providing penalties, pursuar_ to the
<br />a.utnority of Sections 59.97 and SQ.00, Wisconsin
<br />Statutes.
<br />10.01 Districts and District Maps

<br />'building be moved, altered, enlarged or rebuilt, nor
<br />:sh:•.11 any open spares surrounding any buildln or
<br />structure be encroached upon or re,'.uced in any a-anner,
<br />nor shall a greater percentage of lot be occupi�zd,
<br />except in conformity to the building site requirer,ents

<br />ordinance, for the district in which such building is

<br />:4) DENSITY OF POPULATION. No building, structure or
<br />premises shall be erected or- occupied' so as to provide
<br />�a greater density of population than is allowed by the
<br />helms of this ordinance for the district in -hick such

<br />i (5) OPEN SPACE LIMITATIONS. No yard or other open
<br />;space provided about any building or structure for

<br />Except as otherwise herein provided:
<br />(1) USE. No building or structure shall hereafter
<br />be erected, and no existing building or structure
