See attached copy. <br /> 1979 - 80: The Shoreland District regulations were removed from Section 10.16 <br /> and placed in a new Section 11.00 pertaining to shoreland and flood zone regulations. <br /> Jan. 14, 1984: Section 11.03 - Shoreland was amended to provide a more reasonable <br /> and equitable shoreland setback for principal buildings - (see attached copy <br /> Section 11.03 (2) . I suggested the amendment to alleviate the number of shoreland <br /> setback variances and was supported by the Board of Adjustment. The St. Cyr. <br /> decks are regulated by this less restrictive Ordinance. The following definitions <br /> have been contained in the Zoning Ordinance since September 1979. <br /> 5 10.01 (7) Building: Any structure having a roof supported by posts, columns <br /> or walls and its appendages including balconies, porches and used <br /> or intended to be used for the shelter or enclosure of person, <br /> animals, equipment, machinery or materials. Also, included for <br /> permit and locational purposes are swimming pools both above and <br /> below ground, towers for microwave antennas, community television <br /> antennas but not for towers and posts for lines carrying telephone <br /> messages or electricity. <br /> § 10.01 (9) Building Line: The building line shall be the point at which the <br /> building wall or any appendage of the building such as steps, chimneys, <br /> decks, porches or covered patios meet the ground. <br /> The St. Cyr decks, to the best of our knowledge, were constructed after 1979. <br /> I have also included the following copies for your information: <br /> 1) .
