Amending the text of the Dane County Zoning Ordinance (Chapter 10). <br />The Dane County Board of Supervisors does ordain as follows: <br />Repeal 10.25 (3) (a) and recreate to read as follows: <br />(a) Fees for permits for new single family homes and duplex homes shall be computed <br />at the rate of $0.02 for each square foot of floor area, measurements to be made <br />using outside dimensions. Basement area shall be included if any part of the base- <br />ment wall is exposed and has any door or window opening larger than 5 square feet in <br />the exposed area. Floor area shall include attached garages and porches or decks <br />that are more than two feet above ground level at any point on their perimeter. When <br />computed the amount shall be rounded to nearest dollar. <br />Repeal 10.25 (3) (b) and recreate to read as follows: <br />(b) For all new construction except for single family and duplex residences; for <br />additions and alterations to existing buidlings and buildings used for agricultural <br />purposes that because of locational requirements a Board of Adjustment permit is re- <br />quired. Cost of construction shall also include the cost of mechanical equipment <br />but not manufacturing or processing machinery or equipment, the fee shall be com- <br />puted as follows: <br />For the first $1,000 of construction cost -------------------------------------$3.00 <br />For each addition $1,000 of construction cost ---------------------------------$1.00 <br />Repeal 10.25 (3) (c) and recreate to read as follows: <br />(c) Fees collected under this section shall be collected at the time the permit is <br />issued, and shall be accounted forandpaid into the general fund as are other moneys <br />collected by the county. The Zoning Administrator shall issue a receipt for each <br />fee collected. Zoning permits are required for municipally owned buildings, however, <br />the fee shall be waived. <br />Create a new 10.25 (3) (d) to read as follows: <br />(d) A permit issued pursuant to the provisions of this section shall expire one <br />year from the date of issuance if construction is not started within that time and <br />will expire if construction once started does not diligently proceed to completion <br />within two years of starting time. <br />Ameind 10.25 (4) (a) to read as follows: <br />(a) Petitions to amend the zoning ordinance and applications for Conditional Use <br />Permits ----- $25=88 $35.00. <br />Repeal 10.25 (4) (b) and recreate to read as follows: <br />(b) Mineral extraction permits and renewals ------$10.00. <br />Repeal 10.25 (4) (c) <br />Amend 10.25 (5) (a) to read as follows: <br />(a) Applications for Special Exception Permits and Variances from the zoning ordi- <br />nance $15-98 $25.00. <br />Renumber 10.25 (6) thru (9) to (7) thru (10) . <br />Create a new 10.25 (6) (a3 to read as follows: <br />(6) REFUND CF FEES <br />(a) Any fee collected by Zoning Administrator, once paid, is not refundable. <br />Repeal 10.25 (8) (f) 1_ and recreate to read as follows: <br />1_ For certificates of compliance for new construction, additions, alterations or re- <br />modeling for which a Dane County Zoning Permit has been issued since August 20, 1970, <br />there shall be no fee charged. For all other certificates of compliance, there shall <br />be a fee of $5.00 for each certificate. <br />Repeal 10.25 (8) (f) 2. <br />
