<br />THIS INDENTURE, Made this 21st day of April, 1942 between
<br />Charles E. Piper and Anna Piper, his wife; Samuel A. Piper and
<br />Louise Piper, his wife; Howard D. Piper and Clara Piper, his
<br />wife; Alfred A. Piper (being referred to as Alfred E. Piper
<br />in the final judgment in the estate of David J4. Piper, decease )
<br />and Iva Piper, his wife, and William Leslie Gillette and Edna I
<br />Hinkson Gillette, his wife, of Madison, Wisconsin - -- -and
<br />Piper Brothers Company, a Wisconsin Corporation, parties of the
<br />first part and Harold W. Way and Hazel Avery, as joint tenants
<br />--parties of the second part,
<br />WITNESSETH, That the said parties of the first part, for and i
<br />consideration of the sum of one dollar (l), and other val-
<br />uable considerations to them paid by the said parties of the
<br />second part, the receipt whereof is hereby confessed, and ac-
<br />knowledged has given, granted, bargained, sold, remised, alie ed
<br />conveyed and confirmed, and by these persons does give, grant
<br />bargain, sell, remise, release, alien, convey and confirm unt
<br />the said parties of the second part the survivor t).ereof his
<br />or her heirs and assigns forever, the following described

<br />i cousin, to wit: a parcel of land situated in the northeast I
<br />1/4 of the Southwest 1/4 of Section 29, Town 7 North, Lange 9i
<br />East, Town of Madison, Dane County Wisconsin. i

<br />Described as follows: Beginning at a point which is 652.3 feet
<br />west and 437.4 feet South from the Northeast corner of the
<br />f� said Northeast Quarter of the Southwest quarter, said section;
<br />f thence West parallel with the North line of said Northeast
<br />Quarter 4f the Southwest Quarter 330 feet; thence South paral-I
<br />'I lel with the East line of said Northeast Quarter of the South
<br />i west Quarter 132 feet; thence East parallel with the North '
<br />�i line of the said Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter
<br />330 feet; thence North parallel with the East line of the
<br />said Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter 132 feet to II
<br />point of beginning; subject to the public highway known as Or-I
<br />chard Drive on the Easterly portion of said premises and also!
<br />subject to an easement for highway purposes over the West 30
<br />!i feet of the above - described premises.

<br />�I RESTRICTIONS, It is understood and agreed that -his conveyance
<br />is made subject to the following restrictions upon said pre-
<br />mises and this conveyance: 1. The location of all buildings)
<br />on premises are to be approved by vendors. 2. None of said
<br />lots shall be conveyed to, used, owned or occupied by negroes�
<br />as owners or tenants. 3. For a period of twenty -five years rom
<br />i July 1, 1933 vendors shall have the right to require plans fo
<br />the exterior design of any building or structure to be erecte
<br />upon any lot In said plat to be first submitted to and ap-
<br />proved by the vendors. 4. That for said period of twenty -
<br />five years no buildings previously erected elsewhere shall be
<br />constructed upon said plat without the written consent of the
<br />undersigned as to its-necessity and location. 7. No intoxi-
<br />cating liquors shall be sold on said premises for twenty year
<br />Ij from July 1, 1933• y
