DECISION OF THE HIGHWAY COriMISSION <br />Change in the State Trunk Highway System <br />between Belleville and Brooklyn <br />Highway 92 <br />Dane and Green Counties <br />TO THE COUNTY BOARDS OF DANE AND GREEN COUNTIES <br />The Highway Commission, at its meeting, held on February 19, 1968, <br />pursuant to due notice given to the localities concerned and public hearing <br />held in Belleville on JanuAry 16, 1968, in accordance with the provisions <br />of the stntutev in 9ilch cps, -y mado ood p rovide , 2pproved and ndo tod the <br />decision to make a change in the State Trunk Highway System in Dane and <br />Green Counties by removing a certain road as a state trunk highway and by <br />adding another road in lieu thereof, as shown on the map displayed at the <br />public hearing and as hereinafter described. <br />.The Highwiy Commission hereby finds and determines and makes this <br />decision that the public good and public travel will best be served by <br />removing from the State Trunk Highway System the road described as: <br />The officially laid out but not constructed, marked, or traveled <br />route between the Village of Belleville and the Village of Brooklyn <br />beginning at a point about 450 feet east of the northwest corner of <br />Section 2, Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Town of Exeter, Green <br />County, thence easterly along the county line between Dane and Green <br />Counties a distance of about seven and one-quarter miles to the west <br />corporate limits of the Village of Brooklyn, thence southeasterly <br />along City Limit Road to its junction with Main Street about 2300 <br />feet {east and about 1000 feet south of the northwest corner of <br />Section 1, Township 4 North; Range 9 East, Village of Brooklyn, <br />Green County. <br />and by laying and adding to the State Trunk Highway System, in lieu of the <br />one so removed, the road described as: <br />The presartjy mor0d ,nj traveled temporary route beginning <br />at a point about 450 feet east of the northwest corner of Section <br />2, Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Town of Exeter, thence southerly, <br />easterly, northerly and northeasterly along the temporary route <br />in, or along section lines between, Sections 2, 3, 10, 11, 14, 12 <br />and 13, Township 4 North, Range 8 East, Town of Exeter, and Sections <br />7, IS, 17, 16, 15, 10, 3, 2 and 1, Township 4 North, Range 9 East, <br />Town of Brooklyn, to the junction CC City Limit Road with Main Street <br />in the Village of Brooklyn about 2300 feet east and about 1000 feet <br />south of the northwest: corner of Section 1, Township 4 North, Range <br />9 East, all in Green County. <br />This decision, having been made in accordance with Section <br />84.02(3)(a)of the Statutes, through requests by resolutions adopted by the <br />Green County Board of Supervisors on September 12, 1967, and by the Dane <br />County Board of Supervisors on October 25, 1967, to discontinue the des- <br />cribed laid out but not marked or traveled route and in lieu thereof to <br />lay the State Trunk Highway System on the described marked and traveled <br />route between Belleville and Brooklyn, and by virtue of the said resolutions <br />consituting the mutual agreement between the said county boards and the <br />Highway Commission required by Section 84.02(3)(a) of the Statutes as to <br />discontinuance of the officially laid out but not marked or traveled route, <br />shall be effective at once, <br />STATE 07 T n&S IN Drnn RTnENT OF TRANS A' ION <br />DTV ION OF HIGHW-'3YS <br />r <br />• J <br />Highway Commission Secretary <br />
