CAUTION: Values obtained from the above tables are, for oal <br />the one TRIANGLE of the cross-section under consideration. <br />Corrections for tenths of feet in width and height may be made by considering t <br />numbers on the table from 1 to 9 as tenths and taking one tenth the values fou <br />in the tables. For example, to find the number of cubic yards when 1Vidth=W =1 <br />and height=H=5.3, opposite 16 in "Width" column and under 5 in the "Heigh ' <br />column read 1.18. To correct for additional 0.2 foot of width, opposite 2 in the "«'id <br />column and under 5 in the "Height" column read 0.18 and correct to .033. To torr <br />for additional 0.3 foot in height, under 3 in "Height" column and opposite 16 <br />"Width" column read 0.89 and correct to .059. Therefore, the total cubic yards in t <br />given TRIANGLE for a depth of 1 foot =1.48+.018+.089 =1.587 or approxirnat <br />150 cu. yds. per 100 feet. " <br />If width exceeds 40 feet, use one half real width and multiply result by 2.
