Dane County Planning & Development
Room 116, City -County Building, Madison, Wisconsin 53703-3342
June 27, 2007
John W. Retallick
4797 Jacobs Road
Marshall, Wisconsin 53559
Re: # 081236390003
SW1/4 S36 T8N R12E
Town of Medina
Dane County
Dear Mr. Retallick:
Land Division Review
608/266-9086
In response to your communication of 06/14/07, a search of the public record has
been completed for the purpose of providing the requested parcel status
determination. It is apparent that the subject 18.57 acres land parcel, described in
R339/130, Dane County Registry, was properly created as a separate legal entity
prior to the applicable effective date of the Dane County Land Division Regulations.
Accordingly, this 18.57 acres parcel can be separately conveyed, at this time,
without a Dane County certified survey map approval.
However, # 081236390003, # 081235490700, # 081235495009, # 081235495509
& # 081235495901 together describe a single zoning parcel of 57.57 acres. Any
division of this 57.57 acres will require a change in zoning classification. The Dane
County interpretation of a zoning parcel provides that all lands within the same
ownership, even though they may consist of non-contiguous elements, constitutes a
single zoning parcel.
Sincerely,
Norbert Scribner, Land Division Review
Enclosure:
