<br />COMPOSITE REpORT FOR CUP#2135 AGENDA ITEM #13 <br />MAY 11, 2010 ZLR COMMITTEE PUBLIC HEARING <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR MINERAL EXTRACTION IN THE A-2 DISTRICT, VERMONT S 2 <br /> <br /> <br />DANE COUNTY ZONING STAFF COMMENTS / BACKGROUND <br />. Agent/Applicant: Yahara Materials <br />· Size, zoning, use of existing parcel: The subject property is 19 acres, and CUP 2135 will <br />replace CUP 1638. The remainder of this parcel, west of the CUP area, is zoned C-2. <br />· Rezone/CUP desired: CUP for mineral extraction to replace CUP 1638 which is set to expire <br />on June 27, 2010. <br />· History: CUP 1638 was approved with 21 conditions and became effective on June 27, 2000. <br />· Other county permits: An erosion control (Chapter 14) and nonmetallic mining reclamation <br />permit (Chapter 74) are required. Reclamation permit number 74-95 is associated with this <br />operation. <br /> <br />TOWN ACTION REpORT <br />The Vermont Town Board acted on the petition on March 9, 2010. They approved CUP 2135 with <br />no conditions.
