<br />(the "Revitalization Plan"). The Revitalization Plan was produced with the <br /> <br /> <br />assistance of the Dane County Planning Department in 2001. The Revitalization <br /> <br /> <br />Plan provides for neighborhood revitalization within two census tracts, which, <br /> <br />when combined, comprise over 60% of the population of the Town. The <br /> <br />Revitalization Plan assesses needs within the areas of economic development, <br /> <br />housing, infrastructure improvements and social programs. It identifies <br /> <br />community planning goals and objectives and sets for an action plan for, among <br /> <br />other areas, the Novation Technology Campus. <br /> <br /> <br />4. The Goals and Obiectives of the Dane County Comprehensive Plan <br /> <br /> <br />Are Met by the CDP and the Preliminary Plat. <br /> <br /> <br />The Dane County Comprehensive Plan only mentions the Town of <br /> <br /> <br />Madison in passing, in various exhibits. Nonetheless, numerous policy objectives <br /> <br /> <br />set forth in the Plan would be advanced by recognizing the role of the <br /> <br /> <br />intergovernmental agreement and the CDP as the planning guide for the <br /> <br />development of Novation Campus II. Furthermore, the parties to the <br /> <br />intergovernmental agreement pursuant to which the CDP was created (i.e., the <br /> <br /> <br />City of Fitchburg and the Town) have both approved the preliminary plat. <br /> <br /> <br />Here are some of the goals and objectives of the Dane County <br /> <br /> <br />Comprehensive Plan that are met by the CDP and the Novation Campus II plat. <br /> <br /> <br />The Plan states as a goal: "Facilitate and encourage cooperation and <br /> <br />communication between all levels of government."
