To: Schutte, Kristine
Cc: Shore, Ryan; Klinkner, Patrick
Subject: RE: Kerry Zenz shed documents/photos
Good morning,
Please find below the answers to your questions.
The shed I would like to build is for agricultural usage. The size of the shed I would like to build is
36 x 56.
An agricultural accessory building is permitted on an A-2(8)Agriculture zoned parcel. It appears
your proposed shed meets front, side and rear setbacks.
Do you want me to draw in the driveway to the new shed on the plat map and email it back to you?
Yes, please show the existing and proposed driveways/parking areas. Also, please revise the plan
you attached to your August 20 email that showed a 30'x50'shed. The new size should be to scale
on the original drawing.
To my knowledge, there is no navigable stream. Harold and Kim Pletzer(whom we bought our
property from)and Brian and Tanya Droessler(our neighbor)also had the same issue when they
tried to build on their property. There is supposed to be documentation with both the Droessler and
Pletzer families to prove there is no navigable stream. Is there a way to check their files/records for
proof of this documentation?
Thank you for the copy of the document showing that the stream located on Lot 2, CSM 8290 was
not navigable in 1998. I will show it to my supervisor, Zoning Administrator Roger Lane, on Monday,
and ask for his interpretation.
Thank you again for your assistance with my building project.
Kerry Zenz
From: Schutte, Kristine [mailto:Schutte @co.dane.wi.us]
Sent: Wednesday, August 26, 2009 6:03 PM
To: Lisa Zenz
Cc: Shore, Ryan; Klinkner, Patrick
Subject: FW: Kerry Zenz shed documents/photos
TO: Kerry& Lisa Zenz
FROM: Dane County Assistant Zoning Administrator Kris Schutte
RE: Lot 1, CSM 12659, PIN 0606-181-8160-0-2692 County Highway F, Blue Mounds 18
Kerry,
I hope you will allow me to use first names; please call me Kris.
I apologize for taking a few days to respond to your email. It may be that I confused your query with
another I've addressed recently from a party named Enz. I'm sorry for any inconvenience.
Thank you for the photos, site plan and elevation for the proposed shed. As I recall, you are hoping
to obtain a Dane County Zoning Permit for the 30'x50'outbuilding. I have the following questions
and comments:
1) What is the proposed use of the shed? What will be stored inside, or how will it be used? You
didn't state this in your email, and I didn't want to trust my memory or meager notes. The use will
determine the maximum height and size for the proposed shed.
2) You didn't show any driveway to access the new shed. Aerial photos of your parcel show a long
driveway from CTH F to the house. Would you extend this driveway to the shed? Would there be
9/24/2009
